Overview
More links from sites with a reasonable Page Rank you get, higher your Page Rank will become. Based on this Page Rank, Google determines how much a page of your site is worth. Depending on its Page Rank value, your page will appear higher or lower in the list of results, when users look for information on the web and your page happens to be relevant for those keywords.
Google's algorithm to determine the Page Rank of a web page is more complex and nobody knows for sure all the details. What we know is if your page gets a specific number of DoFollow links from sites with the same Page Rank value, chances are you will also achieve a Page Rank with one of the values from the table below. DoFollow links are hyperlinks with no rel="nofollow" attribute value within their tag.
So try to promote your site and your web pages this way. Remark that this does not only apply to outbound incoming links (i.e. hyperlinks coming from external domains/sites), but you can also try to create internal links within your own site. For instance, if you already have some pages with a good Page Rank, you can provide links from them to other pages of yours with lower Page Rank. However, do not go too far with this internal linking, because pages that link to way too many pages with low PageRank may decrease the value of the top pages themselves.
