About XtractPro
XtractPro (pronounced like "extract pro") was only recently transformed into my own technical blog. It is now focused on work exposed through my portfolio and consulting services I provide as a senior freelance software developer.
XtractPro started as a free online software development magazine, with in-depth technical articles on a very hot topic: extract any kind of end-user data, metadata or other type of information from all existing available resources - web pages, databases, components and files from your local computer...
For this very specialized niche, background articles present file formats and their historical evolution. Simple open source prototypes may offer base classes and infrastructure for a broad range of applications. Detailed useful applications extract and present data in various ways.
All articles and projects are original, they have not been published anywhere else. Most projects are open-source, so you can download the code, decompress it into your local projects folder, load it and adapt it in your IDE, to eventually create better and more robust end-user solutions. I present code in C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, Java, ActionScript, PHP and other languages.
